10 Daily Habits for a Great Skin

Good skin care and healthy lifestyle choices can help us have healthy glowing skin and even delay the natural aging process and prevent various skin problems. These simple day-to-day habits are easy to follow and can create long lasting impact on the quality of skin.

Practice Breathing Exercises:  Deep breathing exercise can help us minimise stress reactions in the body and shift the body’s balance of carbon dioxide to oxygen in favor of energizing oxygen.

Dress Right & wear Sunscreen: When heading into the outdoors, dress for the weather. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. Apply sunscreen generously, and reapply every two hours.

Go for Omega-3 & Food Rich on anti-oxidants:   Foods full of healthy monounsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids, such as fish, nuts, olive oil, flax, sardines, and avocados are good for one’s skin.  Antioxidants combat free-radical damage from cigarette smoke, pollution, UV rays and stress.

Eat Right: Eating a balanced breakfast that combines protein, fiber, and healthy fats help regulate blood sugar throughout the day. Studies have shown that when blood sugar rises too quickly, it can cause acne, wrinkles, and rashes.

Drink Lots of Water: It’s a good idea to drink plenty of water to keep the skin hydrated and avoid scaly skin.

Go for Vitamin C: Vitamin C-rich produce, such as citrus fruit and dark, leafy greens help boost the body’s production of collagen, a protein that maintains skin and other connective tissues.

Avoid Long Warm Bath: We should avoid taking long bath with warm or lukewarm water. Long exposure to hot water can strip moisture from skin and leave it dry and itchy.

Don’t Compromise on Sleep: Sleep is free cosmetic medicine. Sleep is that one thing that will make the biggest improvement in how your skin looks. Sleep deprivation can make one cranky, depressed and negative. It can make you overeat, over-caffeinated, and push every system in the body off balance.

Lightly exfoliate regularly: Gentle regular exfoliation is one of the best ways to achieve and maintain a gorgeous as it slough off the dull top layers, minimizing wrinkles, acne, and dry spots to reveal new, healthy, glowing skin.

Green Tea Instead of Coffee: Green Tea’s dehydrating, pro-inflammatory and high in antioxidants, which counteract free-radical damage throughout human system, including the skin.
